Summer Camp

Great Lakes Hemophilia Foundation

Headline News - September 2010

This year Great Lakes Hemophilia Foundation Camperships sent 26 Wisconsin kids to Hemophilia summer camps in Illinois, Michigan and Minnesota. GLHF encourages children to attend these summer camps each year to develop confidence, independence and foster those life-long friendships and memories gained at camp.

Austin weathered a sprained ankle, a bee sting, and a fall but came through it all with a great attitude and no complaints. Austin received the first ever Austin Felber Award for his high spirits and being such a good sport. After it all, Austin says he definitely wants to go back to camp next year because “camp is a place where you don’t have to worry about your bleeding disorder and what you can and can’t do…you can do everything!”
