Region V-West/Northern States Regional Hemophilia Network

Since 1982, Great Lakes Hemophilia Foundation (GLHF) has served as the Regional Core Center for federal grants funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American Thrombosis & Hemostasis Network (ATHN), as well as the Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA).

This means that GLHF is responsible for the administration, coordination and monitoring of activities and goals required to obtain and maintain funding for 13 Hemophilia Treatment Centers (HTCs) in Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota, known as Region V-West (CDC/ATHN) and Northern States Region (HRSA).

The federal grants we facilitate work in tandem to support HTCs in providing comprehensive care for bleeding disorder patients and data collection to help monitor the bleeding disorders population anonymously for health trends.
